Delivered in tankers in bulk form.

STORAGE :

• Sodium hydroxide may be stored in carbon steel tanks particularly if ferrous impurity does not constitute a problem, provided that the temperature does not exceed 50°C

• Rubber and plastic coated tanks may also be used besides stainless steel and nickel.

• Tanks containing 30-32% and 45-48% caustic should be insulated and heated to ensure that the temperature does not fall below 16°C.

• 25% caustic may be stored down to - 10 °C without any problems.
